Assassin’s Creed Victory to take place in Victorian London

According to a report from Kotaku, the next Assassin's Creed game is called Assassin's Creed Victory, will take place in 19th century Vicotrian London, and is coming in 2015 to Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC only — no Xbox 360 or PS3.

The yearly release of the franchise will continue after a Assassin's Creed Unity was met with criticism and technical problems at launch, leading to an apology from Ubisoft.

Kotaku reports that the game will take place in the dirty alleys and "rattling stagecoaches of London during the Victorian era," which is a great location in my opinion. They also state that it looks impressive so far, according to a seven-minute "target gameplay footage" video they saw. It was made entirely in the Assassin's Creed engine, Anvil. It featured climbing a tower looking over London, gambling in a pub, street races, an assassination attempt, and a fight on top of a carriage. And there's still haystacks… of course. There's also a grappling hook that sounds pretty cool for movement and escaping.

Victory is being developed by Ubisoft's Quebec studio, instead of the Montreal office which has been the lead developer on every big Assassin's Creed release since 2007. Quebec also developed DLC for Assassin's Creed 3 and 4.

Head over to Kotaku for a detailed report with other screenshots.
