Assassin’s Creed Valhalla ‘Deep Dive’ trailer showcases a grand Viking tale

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has a new deep dive trailer. And as it says, it details the many gameplay mechanics and systems. Check out the deep dive trailer here!

It has been two years since the last main Assassin’c Creed game. And while Odyssey brought lots of changes to the seasoned franchise, Valhalla has plenty of unique features itself. Maybe even the biggest to date.

Origins and Odyssey steered the franchise into RPG territory unlike any entry before. After these two experiences, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has a rock solid foundation to build upon. And Ubisoft did exactly that.

A key mechanic of the game is the settlement of protagonist Eivor. It’s here where he or she makes bonds inside the clan, gather intel, and decide the future. To no surprise, there’s also a large focus on upgrading and expanding your home base. So, expect to collect valuable resources on your battles and pillages.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla casts you as a Viking, but the Vikings weren’t quite as relentlessly bloodthirsty as the legends might have you believe. The best of them were cool-headed and tactically minded, skilled negotiators who could turn foes into friends and rule through diplomacy as well as fear.

The new deep dive trailer showcases that player choice will play a huge role. Key moments allow the player to choose the direction of the story. Past entries already experimented with diverging narrative choices,  and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is no different.

It’s a grand adventure where the player will not only engage in combat in battle but also work with the kingdoms to increase their influence. If you played Odyssey, it comes as no surprise that even the supernatural world of Asgard plays a big role here.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will launch November 10th on PC, Google Stadia, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. The PlayStation 5 version comes out together with the system on November 12th in North America and the following everywhere else. If you plan on playing the game on PC, Ubisoft also revealed the system requirements for their game here.
