Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood Adds A New Map, with a Catch

Ubisoft has quietly revealed an additional map for Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood’s multiplayer mode via their Assassin’s Network community site. The map, titled Rome by Night, requires the community to first get 25 million kills.

While there are currently no details on this new map, it is nice to see Ubisoft putting out so much free content for the game. 25 million kills does seem like a lot though, at least for a multiplayer game that seems to have niche appeal. Either we won’t be unlocking this one for a while, or Brotherhood’s community is more active than I think.

Community challenges for DLC and unlocks seem to be in vogue right now, with Halo: Reach and Battlefield Bad Company 2: Vietnam already making similar offers. Are they successful? Do they make the game more interesting? Sound off in the comments and let us know what you think.
