Atari is bringing back Alone in the Dark and Haunted House

A reboot of both Alone in the Dark and Haunted House will debut next week at PAX Prime. They will be available on the on the PC platform later this year.

Further details weren't mentioned regarding the titles, but I'm sure we'll learn more about them at PAX.

Alone in the Dark last released on the Xbox 360, Wii, and PS3 back in 2008. It wasn't received well at all; fans of the franchise are undoubtetdly hoping for a better turn about this time.

The survival horror genre as a whole has been undergoing somewhat of a revival. In addition to these two titles, both Silent Hill and Resident Evil are making a comeback, with the latter being a reboot of the original, presumably leaving behind its recent turn as an action game. Plus we can't forget the upcoming The Evil Within, set to release later this year.

Now if we could only get a proper Eternal Darkness sequel…
