Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey hits PS4, Vita and PC today

Koei Tecmo and Gusto Co. Ltd. have released the latest entry in the Atelier series on the PlayStation 4, Vita and PC (via Steam) today.  'Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey' is the 18th entry in the Atelier franchise and follows the story of an alchemist named Firis as she takes her first steps into the outside world to become a certified alchemist and embark on a grand journey.

'Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey' features locations that are roughly ten times the size of previous Atelier game locations, as well as a vast network of towns and environments. Bigger locations isn't the only new feature in this entry, choices will play a bigger role in 'Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey' and players will be able to switch between three different narrative paths.

In addition to these features, 'Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey' is the first Atelier game that allows the player to be more nomadic. The 'Atelier Tent' is debuted in 'Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey' and it allows Firis to synthesize wherever a campfire is present. On top of that, Mass Synthesis allows Firis to create large items to help overcome obstacles. What you choose to build changes the appearance and accessibility of various locations in the game, and can even affect the outcome of the story.
