Atlus USA: No PC or Nintendo Switch versions of Persona 5 or Yakuza 0

'THAT'S. IT.'

When the internet figures out something bothers you, prepare to see it shoved in your face in droves. That's exactly what has happened to Atlus USA's PR Manager, John Hardin, who apparently has been getting waves of questions involving platform availability for the company's two upcoming titles, Yakuza 0 and Persona 5. The questions have ranged from serious to sarcastic, to downright stupid (probably on purpose, though).

Apparently, Hardin reached a breaking point and permanently debunked any theories or rumors that either game would land on a non-Sony platform. Here's the tweet:

Sounds like a guy who tired of asking the same question. That said, it does confirm what we should have already known. As it stands now, Persona 5 is due to release only on PS4 and PS3 while Yakuza 0 is releasing exclusively on PS4. That won't stop fans from dreaming, and it's not out of the realms of possibility that Persona 5 could hit alternative platforms at some point in the future, seeing as how Persona 4 re-released on the Vita with Golden.

But for right now, expect only Sony platforms to get Persona 5 and Yakuza 0 for the foreseeable future. Yakuza 0 releases later this month on January 24th while Persona 5 comes out on its new date of April 4th, 2017.
