The reception for Divinity II on Xbox 360 showed it had a lot of promise, but was ultimately bogged down in horrendous technical issues. Not content to leave it at that, developer Focus Home Interactive and publisher Atlus are giving the game a second shot at life. Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga is set to “live up to the original promise,” combining all of the Divinity II-related content released so far in an improved package.
The game is said to be “extensively remastered based on community feedback,” so let’s hope that means all the technical issues are fixed. Set for an April 12, 2011 release (only a few months after the original’s release last year), it might anger early adopters more than please newcomers, but it could also be a nice diversion for those looking forward to the myriad upcoming fantasy RPGs like Dragon Age II and The Elder Scrolls.
