Augmented Reality Strategy game, Towar hits Kickstarter

'It's like Pokemon Go and Clash of Clans had a baby!'

Pokemon GO and Clash of Clans are two of the most popular mobile games on the planet. Now, one indie developer, Cerberus Interactive is taking the foundations laid down by those to behemoths to create and all-new experience, Towar. Towar is described as "a real-time combat strategy and base-building game where players must defend their towers by collecting resources and military units in the real world," and the developers flipped the switch on their Kickstarter campaign late last night.

The main hook of Towar is how you go about building your base. You begin by selecting a single place in the real world around you, via the game's GPS and claim your land. You venture out into the wild (real world) to recruit warriors to help you defend your keep. Your tower can be attacked by anyone at any time, so reinforcing it with new soldiers and expansions is key.

As you walk around in the real world, you will also happen upon loot crates and resources that can be used to augment your defenses. Loot crates will contain blueprints for added tower features and resources will consist of things like stone and steel which can be researched and used to craft customizable objects to use towards your defense.

In Towar, your neighborhood is a battlefield, so set out and find as many different troops as you can so that you can attack and defend with ease. Towar's Kickstarter is currently live and will run through Thursday, January 5th, 2017.
