August 2017’s PS Plus lineup revealed for PS4, PS3, and Vita

Microsoft revealed their free game lineup for their Games With Gold program yesterday and today, Sony is looking to one up them with their free game lineup for August 2017 as part of their PS Plus subscription service.

Next month, PlayStation owners can look forward to a pretty solid line up with Just Cause 3 and Assassin's Creed: Freedom Cry as the free PS4 games. PS3 owners, on the other hand, can grab Super Motherload and Snakball.

Full lineup:

PS4

  • Just Cause 3
  • Assassin’s Creed: Freedom Cry

PS3

  • Super Motherload
  • Snakeball

PS Vita

  • Downwell (crossbuy with PS4)
  • Level 22

In addition to this lineup, PS Plus subscribers can rent movies for 99 cents, starting with LEGO Batman this week. Following this week, Logan will be available, Week 3 will see Saiban's Power Rangers, Week 4 will feature Kong: Skull Island, Week 5 will discount Boss Baby's rental fee and Week 6 will finish off the PS Plus Summer Movies with Ghost in the Shell.
