August’s PS Plus lineup to feature an ‘eclectic’ list of games

Next month's lineup of PlayStation Plus games should have something for everyone. Sony has yet to formally announce its lineup of free PS Plus games — for that, you'll have to wait until next week — but community manager Fred Dutton teased a promising group of titles.

"It's looking like an eclectic list this month," he said on the EU PlayStation Blog. "Should be something for everyone."

Sony typically waits until the last week of the month before announcing the PS Plus games for the subsequent month. Assuming they'll follow that pattern, which Dutton suggests they will, then we could find out August's list of free PS Plus games next week.

Meanwhile, you still have time to snag July's games before they disappear. If you recall, Sony now releases all of the month's free PS Plus games at once on the first Tuesday of the new month and removes all of the titles from the prior month. For July, we were offered TowerFall Ascension  and Strider for PS4, Dead Space 3 and Vessel for PS3, and Muramasa Rebirth and Doki-Doki Universe for Vita.
