Avatars Getting New Look For Kinect

Microsoft will be updating their Avatars in time for Kinect’s launch, according to Nick Burton of Microsoft-owned Rare.

Speaking to Official Xbox Magazine, he said that the proportions of the Avatars will be made more realistic, because the cartoon-ish ones caused trouble with player’s coordination. He explained that things seemed to break, “not in terms of hardware but rather, player perception.”

It’s not known how much the characters will change, but perhaps it will just be a slight enough tweak to help players have a better sense of the 1-to-1 control.
