Dark Knight collectors get your wallets out. A new listing on eBay went live this past week, offering one of the coolest things that you could add to your collection.
eBay user militaryvehicleweb is selling the authentic Bat signal that was used during the filming of the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice movie. You know, the light that Superman warns Batman to ignore if he sees shining in the sky in one of the recent TV spots.
The price is kind of up there though, starting at $65,000; but, Millitaryvehicleweb does have all the emails from the studio, rental agreement and copies of the checks from the studio which will come with your purchase, as authentication for the prop.
"The WWII General Electric searchlight was leased to the movie production company at the Michigan Motion Picture Studios in Pontiac, Michigan in the summer of 2014," reads the auction description in part. "I have full documentation on this light being used on set for the movie. After production, the searchlight was returned without the “bat logo” which I replaced with an exact duplicate. The large knife switch seen sparking in the trailer was added for dramatic effect, and is not part of the searchlight."
Militaryvehicleweb has been an avid eBay seller. He started back in December of 2006 and has plenty of positive feedback. So if you've got some extra money laying around or if you want to start fighting crime like the Bat, head over to eBay and get yourself the Bat signal.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits the big screens on March 25th.
