That's the kind of questions Ex Machina​ will confront viewers with when it makes its U.S. debut at SXSW 2015. Alex Garland's sci-fi film stars Domhnall Gleeson as a computer programmer that wins a competition to meet and stay with a brilliant CEO, Nathan Bateman (Oscar Isaac). However, Caleb learns that Nathan chose him to be the human component in an experiment to test the capabilities and consciousness of an advanced AI in an android.
