Awesomenauts free to PS Plus users for May

Online action game Awesomnauts is the PlayStation Plus game of the month for May!  What does that mean you ask?

Well, for you PlayStation Plus users it means the highly anticipated game will be free to download on May 1st.  Normally the game costs $9.99 on PSN (800 Microsoft Points for XBLA).

"We're thrilled to see that Sony liked the game so much that they made it game of the month," said Jasper, game designer at Ronimo Games. "It's great news for everybody, because it ensures there will be a great community of players to play against right from the start."

With six very unique and highly customizable characters with their own attacks and skills, you can take part in some intense platforming combat with strategic team-play…all to the style of an 80's action cartoon.  Matches are played out online or offline in 3 vs 3 style, complete with full drop in/drop out support.

PS3 owners will only have to wait a few more days until the May 1st launch in North America.  It will release worldwide for the PS3 and Xbox 360 on May 2nd.
