BAM! ENTERTAINMENT BRINGS THE HIT TV SHOW ED, EDD n EDDY™
TO THE VIDEO GAME MARKET
BAM! Continues to Expand its Cartoon
Network™ Portfolio
San Jose, Calif. (April 7, 2003)
– BAM! Entertainment™ (NASDAQ: BFUN) today
announced it is shipping the hit Cartoon Network TV show Ed, Edd n Eddy
on Nintendo Game Boy®
Advance. In the game, the three mischievous adolescents are on a mission to
find raffle tickets that could win them a lifetime supply of their favorite
candy—delicious jawbreakers.
The popular Cartoon
Network TV show launched in January 1999 and
is now televised daily. With an average
3.1 rating with boys aged 2-11 and kids aged 6-11, Ed, Edd n Eddy often
ranks in the top ten. Ed, Edd n Eddy has also attracted an older
audience, with ratings among teens having jumped 33% since the show’s debut.
“We are pleased to team up with Cartoon
Network once again to bring popular licenses to gamers,” said Ray Musci, Chief
Executive Officer of BAM! Entertainment. “These characters have a great
following. Their adventures make for hilarious gameplay and are especially
suited to the Game Boy Advance player.”
“We are pleased to be releasing the first
Ed, Edd n Eddy video game,” said James Porges, Vice President of
Off-Channel Commerce for Cartoon Network. “This property is a perfect fit for
the handheld market and is sure to please the fans of the show.”
In the game, players can help Ed, Edd and
Eddy win a contest whose grand prize is, of course, a lifetime supply
of jawbreakers. Throughout the game, Ed, Edd and Eddy will tap into their
unique brand of resourcefulness as they earn money, solve physical puzzles,
interact with their pals from the cul-de-sac and find hidden goodies. Players
may dynamically cycle through the three main characters while exploring each
of the game’s 12 levels.
Ed, Edd n Eddy: Jawbreakers!
for Game Boy Advance is rated E for everyone
by the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB). For more information on
