Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 released earlier this month and is a pretty darn good game, but unfortunately, things are getting shady. The publisher behind Xenoverse 2, Bandai Namco, has gone ahead and edited the Steam store page after the game made its PC release yesterday to remove some promises.
Eagle-eyed Redditors noticed the difference and detailed them in a post.
Before the game's Steam page was edited, it read:
"Free updates and post launch support for more than a year."
Now it reads:
"Post launch support for over 6 months"
The new by-line in the game's details suggests that the updates containing content that would have been "free" will now come at a price. That could mean that Namco planned on supporting players with free DLC, but they changed their mind.
In addition to that, it appears as though the publisher and devs will only be supporting the game with patches for over six months, instead of over a year.
The change in details wouldn't have mattered (still would have sucked) if they were altered before the game released, but altering them after they release is grounds for false advertisement.
