Since 2011, over three million people around the world have bought the indie game that was developed by a team of seven people, I'm talking about Supergiant Games' Bastion. The game has gone on to win tons of awards, from Best Independent Game to Best Doanloadable Game to Best XBLA Game of 2011 — you get the idea, it got a lot of "Best" awards.
The PlayStation 4 finally has the chance to get in on this gorgeous game (the music is fantastic as well — it won an award for that too). The hand-painted scenery will be running at 60 frames per second and in 1080p, so don't think that the port didn't bring it's beauty along with it.
Now, if you don't know what Bastion is about it's about a world being destroyed by the "Calamity." You play as "the Kid" and try to fix the destruction that the Calamity had brought. It may not sound like much, but it's totally worth a try. As our review puts it:
Bastion is a true testament to great game design. It's gameplay might not be the most revolutionary, but the entire package with its lush and gorgeous visuals, interesting storyline, and one hell of an awesome narrator make it an absolute must buy for all XBLA enthusiasts. Frankly, anyone who enjoys good, quality games should try this game.
Bastion will hit the PS4 this Spring in Europe.
