Reports are coming in that Batman: Arkham Knight Batmobile Edition has been canceled across all retailers, six days prior to the game's release. The first report came in from European retailer GAME and has since been confirmed to be canceled at Gamestop, as well as a number of other retailers offering the same edition.
The reason behind the cancelation is due to the Batmobile being 'compromised.'
The company is offering a discount towards another edition of the game as a show of good faith. The email sent by GAME reads as follows:
Regrettably, due to unforeseen circumstances that greatly compromised the quality of the Batmobile, included within the Batman: Arkham Knight Batmobile Edition, Warner Bros has decided not to release this product.
As a gesture of goodwill, you will be entitled to £20 discount on the Batman Red Hood Edition, featuring extra content only available at GAME.
If you want to proceed with this offer it will update automatically, you do not need to do anything. If you with to cancel your complete order, please contact customer services.
We apologise for the inconvenience.
