Batman: Arkham Knight revealed by UK videogame retailer

It has been rumored for a while now that a new Batman game under Rocksteady's development would be unveiled. It now looks like the rumor is true, and UK video game retailer game.co.uk has leaked a listing a bit too early.

The image here shows that the game is listed for next-gen consoles and PC, and will feature some new gameplay additions never before done in a Batman game. For example, Batman will now be able to drive his Batmobile around Gotham for the first time, which sounds like the scope of Arkham will be quite huge. It also seems like Scarecrow might be the main villain in the game.

Most notably, the description also lists the game as the 'explosive finale' in the Batman Arkham Series, which means this story is finally reaching its conclusion.

The full descriptions reads:

In the explosive finale to the Arkham series, Batman faces the ultimate threat against the city he is sworn to protect. The Scarecrow returns to unite an impressive roster of super villains, including Penguin, Two-Face and Harley Quinn, to destroy The Dark Knight forever.

Batman: Arkham Knight introduces Rocksteady's uniquely designed version of the Batmobile, which is drivable for the first time in the franchise. The addition of this legendary vehicle, combined with the acclaimed gameplay of the Batman Arkham series, offers gamers the ultimate and complete Batman experience as they tear through the streets and soar across the skyline of the entirety of Gotham City.

Be The Batman.

From the cover picture, it also looks like the game will come with a pre-order incentive featuring Harley Quinn as a playable character on Challenge Maps. As of right now, no official date was listed, but you might be able to find out more info on Arkham Knight in the new issue of Game Informer, where it's rumored to be the cover story.
