Batman: Arkham Knight’s Batgirl DLC dated, detailed, and priced

The first story-driven piece of DLC content for Batman: Arkham Knight has finally goten a release date. Batgirl: A Matter of Family, will be released first to season pass holders on July 14th while everyone else will have to wait until July 21st.

This will be the first time players can play as Batgirl, aka Barbara Gordon. The DLC will take place prior to the events at Arkham Asylum, letting players explore a whole new environment with multiple missions, side quests and secrets; a new hacking feature to progress through the world and solve puzzles; and Dual Play functionality with Robin for dynamic take-down maneuvers.  For everyone who didn’t buy the Season Pass for Batman: Arkham Knight, you can buy the Batgirl DLC separately for $6.99/£5.79 from the Playstation Store or through Xbox Live.

Batgirl: Matter of Family is developed by WB Games Montréal and is using the same engine that Rocksteady built for Arkham Knight. WB Games Montréal are best known for developing the prequel Batman: Arkham Origins, this is the only piece of DLC WB Games is developing as everything else will be made by Rocksteady.

If you do decide to opt for the Season Pass instead of buying everything separately here’s everything you can expect to receive: an exclusive Flashpoint Batman Skin, which is available now, and delivers regular new content for six months featuring new story missions, more Super-Villains invading Gotham City, new legendary Batmobiles, advanced challenge maps, alternative character skins, and new drivable race tracks.
