Batman Vs. Superman tops Razzie list with 8 nominations

Every year the Oscars celebrates the "best" films of the year. The Razzies, or Golden Raspberry Awards, honor the very opposite as the worst films in various categories. The nomination list for 2017 has been released, and there a lot of familiar films on the list.

In an announcement that will surprise absolutely nobody, Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice leads the way with a total of eight nominations. The superhero flop comes in with nominations for the worst actor (Affleck and Cavill), screenplay, picture, director, supporting actor (Eisenberg, Irons) and remake/sequel categories.

Suicide Squad, which was actually worse than Batman vs. Superman in most people's minds, surprisingly only came in with four nominations. One of those saw actor Will Smith actually land two worst actor nominations for both Suicide Squad and Collateral Beauty. Other notables include the Ghostbusters remake somehow being nominated for worst screen play but not the worst remake category. Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed film had four nominations.

These are only the short list of nominations. The full list will be available on January 23rd with five nominations in each category. If you like, you can always register to be a Razzie member and earn yourself your own voting privileges as well. You can see the full list below compliments of Comicbookmovie. Which ones do you hand out the awards to? Let us know below
