If you logged into Battle.net at any point today, chances are that you noticed a new button in the top right-hand corner of the UI. That's because Blizzard officially launched a brand new streaming feature in tandem with Facebook that lets users stream any of Blizzard's titles directly to their Wall. The feature is currently available for North and South America, Austrailia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia. Blizzard has stated that the feature will be global "soon."
In order to use the feature, users will have to connect their Facebook account via a brand new prompt upon logging into Battle.net. Once you do that, your friends can watch you fail at World of Warcraft, Diablo III, StarCraft II, Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, or Overwatch and not rub it in. They'll totally rub it in.
Blizzard's continued support of their games and their platform is no surprise given their history. And now with this new streaming feature, how Blizzard games are consumed is about to evolve in ways never seen before.
