To kick off today's Nintendo Direct, Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime showed off a brand-new trailer for The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. There was nothing shown that we didn't already know — Link will travel between two worlds to save them both; he can use different weapons; and to get around and beat puzzles, there's a mechanic where he turns paper-thin and sticks to walls.
There are some new characters that were explained, though. Irene, the witch, is a new character that occasionally flies overhead. Whenever you tap a bell on the screen, she'll give Link a lift to wherever he wants to go. Seres is the perfect target for a Zelda villain, and she gets trapped inside a painting.
Gramps is an old kook that lets you fight against other players you've met in Street Pass. Your Shadow Link data gets sent to other people you've Street Passed. Their Shadow Link will encounter you throughout your adventure. There's nothing to be lost by fighting, and only Rupees to be gained.
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, as well as a gold Zelda-themed 3DS, will be launching on November 22.
