Battleborn delayed from February to May 2016

According to the latest financial report from 2K Interactive, Battleborn will not be releasing in February 2016, as previously scheduled, and instead making its debut on May 3.

The reason in the report stated:

Take-Two is increasing its financial outlook for fiscal year 2016 to reflect its better-than-expected fiscal second quarter results, strong forecast for the balance of the fiscal year and an expected tax benefit, partially offset by the impact of moving the planned launches of Battleborn to May 3, 2016, and XCOM 2 to February 5, 2016.

The Technical Alpha for Battleborn happened last weekend, and given this shift in date, its rocky experience could have also contributed to the delay. Just remember, delays, more often than not, are a good thing, if only of a promise of a much more solid experience when the game ships.

If you were hoping to get your hero focused shooter on during the month of love, you'll need to wait just a bit longer.
