The highly anticipated Battlefield 1 is currently in alpha and only a selected few were lucky enough to get invited to it, while the rest patiently waited. Times are changing, and soon the the beta phase will allow everyone to get in on the action.
The Battlefield community manager in Germany, Sebastian Moritz, took the time to answer some questions about the upcoming Battlefield game with Twitch streamer CommanderKrieger. It was during the livestream that Moritz hinted about the start of the beta. The stream was in German but the people of Reddit translated the important bits.
Apparently, Moritz gave a strong hint that the open beta for Battlefield 1 will begin after Gamescom this year. Gamescom is held from August 17 to August 21 which means that the beta will start sometime late August or early September. Moritz also said that Battlefield Insiders would be getting early access to the beta, insiders will be enlisted to fight in World War I three days earlier than non Insiders. The final thing Moritz revealed was that the RUSH gamemode would be included in the beta.
Battlefield 1 is scheduled for release on October 21 and while waiting for the open beta why not read GameZone's very own Alpha Preview of Battlefield 1?
