Ever since the announcement of troops included in Battlefield 1, people have been asking EA why French and Russian troops, the two most prominent countries in the war, were not included at launch. Well, that has been clarified today.
When the premium content was first released, the Battlefield Premium pass page included mention of only the French troops. It has now been updated to include both French and Russian troops beginning with the first DLC pack in March 2017. We do not know if both will be included in the same pack, but most likely not. In addition to these two factions, Premium owners will also receive the following throughout its four DLC packs:
- 2 week access to new packs early
- French / Russian troops
- 16 total new maps
- 20 total new weapons
- New vehicles
- New multiplayer modes as well as new Operations
If you haven't yet, be sure to read our review of Battlefield 1 here. It's the most complete shooter I've seen to date with a combination of a humanized campaign which still yields respect to the war along with strategy oriented multi-player.
