Battlefield 3: Aftermath details emerge

Riding the coattails of success of Battlefield 3’s first DLC, Close Quarters, and the highly regarded trailer for the next add-on, Armored Kill, DICE has unveiled new details for the second-to-last set of DLC for their beloved first-person shooter, Battlefield 3: Aftermath.

Due out sometime in December, Aftermath will unleash four new maps across beautifully destructed, urban terrain that’s been shaken by earthquakes. The DLC will include all new vehicles for players to try out in this unique setting, along with fresh dog tags, class assignments, and achievements for players to earn. If that’s not enough, DICE also confirmed an all-new mode will be revealed that’ll be unlike anything you’ve experienced in Battlefield 3 so far.

Set amongst the shattered districts, streets and surrounding villages of a post-earthquake Tehran Battlefield 3™: Aftermath depicts a continuing struggle for supremacy and survival amongst the devastation.

With operational capacity severely compromised the opposing forces must adapt and engage in vertical and horizontal urban combat amongst the dust and rubble with cracks and fissures in the terrain providing unexpected cover and paths to objectives. Additional support comes in the form of heavily modified troop transports and civilian vehicles specially adapted to deliver deadly force to the enemy.

Aftermath will be available first for Battlefield 3: Premium members, then accessible for all gamers for a TBA price. Premium offers players all five expansion packs, tips & tricks for DLC maps, double XP weekends, early access to content, and much more for a one-time fee of $49.99 or 4000 MSP.
