It has been revealed that DICE, the Swedish developer who brought us Battlefield 3, is now working on Mirror's Edge 2.
The news comes shortly after EA Games vice president Patrick Soderlund told OXM that EA didn't want DICE to become a "Battlefield factory."
It just so happens to be that the last game created by DICE that wasn't Battlefield was 2008's Mirror's Edge. Now, according to Ben Cousins, general manager of ngmoco Sweden and former executive producer of the Battlefield franchise, it's confirmed that the studio is working on a sequel.
"It is general knowledge in the Stockholm dev scene that Mirror's Edge 2 is in production at DICE," Cousins tweeted. It's not yet known if Mirror's Edge 2 will be for next-gen consoles.
