Battlefield 3 which has suffered from lag and latency issues since launch is getting a patch tonight.
Announced on the official Battlefield 3 Facebook page, "A new Battlefield 3 Xbox 360/PS3 server patch will be deploying at 1AM PST tonight addressing lag/rubber-banding, TDM/SQDM spawn point optimization, and various crashes."
Rubber-banding, for those who don't know occurs when latency is high, players will appear to move in one direction and suddenly be teleported back several feet where they were a few seconds ago.
The size of the patch has not been revealed, nor how long the servers are expected to be down. As of right now, there has been no mention of a patch for the PC. Earlier this week, DICE said it was 95% finished addressing the issues plaguing Battlefield 3 online.
