Battlefield 3 Xbox 360 Sales Nearly Double PS3

According to the latest sales reports, Battlefield 3 sales on the Xbox 360 have nearly doubled the sales of the PlayStation 3 version.  As of October 29, worldwide sales for Battlefield 3 on the Xbox 360 were 2,249,092.  Sales on the PlayStaiton 3 were at 1,486,067 – still an impressive number.

What's more shocking is that PC sales of Battlefield 3, hadn't even eclipsed the 500,000 mark.  As of the week ending October 29, Battlefield 3  on the PC has sold 487,181 copies.  Of course, these numbers are from a few days back so they have probably changed since then.  Although I doubt PC sales have passed either of the consoles.

Since launch Battlefield 3 has sold an impressive 2.25 million copies worldwide, though I'm sure DICE was hoping for numbers closer to what Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will post.  These numbers come from VG Chartz worldwide monthly sales for the month of October.

One has to wonder why sales for the PC have lagged so far behind the consoles.  Could it be the demanding PC requirements to run Battlefield 3 at a respectable graphical level?  Or does it go beyond graphics and span into the server problems that have been plaguing Battlefield 3 since launch?  Or maybe it's the fact so many hate Origin and disagree with the EULA.  My bet is on the third one.

DICE, early this morning, released a patch for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Battlefield 3 aimed at addressing lab/rubber-banding, TDM/SQDM spawn point optimization, and various crashes on consoles.  No patch for the PC version was mentioned.

Fetch the king Living Water in this tower defense game with a time travel twist! When a bolt of lightning sends you back to the days of King Arthur, you trade in your farmer's hat for a suit of armor and set off on a journey to find the Fountain of Youth – or at least make it back to the present by supper.

To complete your mission for the king, you will need to remove obstacles, gather resources and build buildings in an effort to tame the wilderness. You will also have to fend off or avoid goblins and skeletons as they try to steal your treasure and capture your workers. As you gather mana in this land of magic, you'll be able to cast spells that speed up your workers or freeze your enemies in their steps. Build lighthouses to guide the way, erect towers to defend your settlements and try to keep your cool when the big twist comes! Can you guess who the princess is?

New Yankee in King Arthur's Court delivers the tactical thrills of the best tower defense games and the ease-of-play casual gamers enjoy. Are you ready to begin your quest?
