Battlefield 4 leaks indicate fall 2013 release and dog tag pre-order bonus

Leaked promotional materials for EA and DICE's upcoming shooter, Battlefield 4, have revealed a fall 2013 release for the highly anticipated game. Of course, this doesn't come as much of a surprise as it was already expected to be EA's big holiday blockbuster. Nevertheless, the fall release means we can expect another round of back and forth jibes between publisher heavyweights EA and Activision — similar to what we experienced in 2011 with Battlefield 3 vs Modern Warfare 3. This time around, though, they'll have the sales results to use in their war of words.

Other notable reveals from the leak appear to be some pre-order incentives. According to the poster, pre-ordering the game will get you a pair of real Battlefield 4 Dog Tags, while supplies last. The posters appear to be from the GameStop owned retailer EB Games, so it's possible this could be a exclusive bonus.

Battlefield 4 is expected to be unveiled this week at GDC on March 26, 2013. On March 27, EA and DICE will release the first official gameplay footage. In the meantime, enjoy the recently released artwork.
