Battlefield 4 PC system requirements revealed

DICE has revealed the PC system requirements necessary for playing Battlefield 4, listing both the "minimum" and "recommended" specs.

At a minimum you'll need the following:

  • Windows Vista SP2 32-Bit
  • AMD Athlon X2 2.8 GHz or Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz
  • 4GB Memory
  • AMD Radeon HD 3870 or Nvidia GeForce 8800 GT
  • 512MB Graphics Memory
  • 30GB Hard Drive

The recommended specs, however, are a bit more demanding:

  • Windows 8 64-Bit
  • AMD Six-Core CPU or Intel Quad-Core CPU
  • 8GB Memory
  • AMD Radeon HD 7870 or Nvidia GeForce GTX 660
  • 3GB Graphics Memory
  • 30GB Hard Drive

If you don't meet any of the requirements and plan on getting a next-gen console, you'll be able to play Battlefield 4 on Xbox One or PlayStation 4 with supposedly fairly comparable graphics. Of course, if you aren't getting next-gen consoles and don't feel like upgrading your PC, there's always the current-gen version.
