The bullets are firing. It's no secret that Battlefield 4 and Call of Duty: Ghosts are gunning for each other. In an event reminiscent to the mudslinging of 2011's Modern Warfare 3 vs Battlefield 3, EA and DICE have again taken a shot at Activision and its tremendously successful first person shooter franchise.
The latest attack comes in the form of Battlefield 4's new trailer. While the focus was on the single player story of the game, there was one particular moment that seemed to take a not-so-subtle shot at Call of Duty: Ghosts: a particular scene in which one of the main characters is scene punching a dog right in the face. One of the most talked-about "characters" in Ghosts is, of course, a German Shepherd known as Riley, which has already won over the hearts of both fans and developers.
It's clear EA and DICE are attempting to poke fun at Call of Duty: Ghosts with this little sequence, but not everyone is on board with their little joke. Obviously animal cruelty is nothing to joke about, but at the same time dogs in these types of games can pretty darn aggressive.
Do you think EA/DICE went too far with punching the dog or is all fair in war?
