There appears to be an issue with spawning in Battlefield 4. GameZone can confirm that at least the PC version is affected by a problem that will not allow you to spawn in-game. The issue could be related to Punkbuster, but we're not entirely certain.
Apparently, upon dying in-game, the camera would change to the body falling down and looking first-person at the sky (as if you were the body). Usually after dying, the deploy screen pops up and you have to wait a second to spawn again, but with the bug no deploy screen pops up.
In a brief message on Battlelog DICE acknowledges the problem, writing, "We are investigating an issue with spawning, if you are experiencing this issue in-game please update your Punkbuster files."
After doing so, the deploy screen does pop up, but nothing happens when we click "deploy." Currently, this is all we know about the issue as we await further response from DICE. Meanwhile, the forums are filled with players also complaining of issues:
