The exact dates and more information for Battlefield: Hardline's upcoming beta will be shared tomorrow, Electronic Arts and Visceral Games announced today.
In a post today, executive producer and Visceral Games VP and GM Steve Papoutsis expressed his excitement for the upcoming beta, and gratitude for everyone that helped with the first one.
"The Battlefield Hardline open beta is drawing near, and we're pumped to let you throw yourselves into the thrills of cops and criminals multiplayer once again," he wrote. "We learned a ton from you in the first beta, enough to help us make the tough call to push the game back so we could add more and make the game better. And now as we're getting closer to launch, we want more."
To that end, the developer will continue to rely on player feedback from the upcoming beta to make changes and tweaks to the game. Papoutsis went on to say that Visceral has already taken some player feedback and used it to fine tune the game.
"We've made bigger changes like re-shaping Heist mode, tweaking progression and the UI to name a few. But we've also focused on the 'small" things,'" he said. He noted gameplay aspects like visual recoil have been perfected thanks to player input.
And now, with the game's March 17th launch quickly approaching, it's time to really turn things up. As we learned earlier this month, the upcoming beta will be open to all players across all systems — Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. Regardless of platform, you'll have full access to the beta which will consist of two maps — Downtown and Dust Bowl — and two modes — Conquest and Hotwire. A third mode, Heist, could be unlocked by the Battlefield 4 community if they complete this week's community mission.
