Battlefield: Hardline will be released on March 17, 2015, DICE announced today. It's coming to Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
Originally due out this October, Battlefield: Hardline was delayed to "early 2015" to give developer Visceral Games time to not only implement changes based on your feedback from beta, but to also "push innovation further and make the game even better."
"The more we thought about these ideas, the more we knew we had to get them into the game you will all be playing. However, there was only one problem. We would need more time. Time that we didn’t have if we decided to move forward with launching in just a couple of months," DICE VP and Group GM Karl Magnus Troedsson said at the time of the original announcement.
The extra development time is said to have allowed Visceral to focus on multiplayer innovation, the single player story, and stability — the latter issue being something that plagued Battlefield 4. On March 17, we'll be able to see for ourselves.
