Battlefield V is one of many highly anticipated games coming out in October alongside Call of Duty, Red Dead Redemption 2, Assassin’s Creed, and more. Luckily, just like Call of Duty, Battlefield V has the advantage of a multiplayer beta before launch to sell people on the game to give it an edge in the crowded release month.
Fans can get in on the bombastic World War II action starting on September 4th during an early access period for the beta, early access will be granted to those who pre-ordered or subscribe to EA Access on September 4th, 2018. All other players will be granted beta access on September 6th, the beta will be held across all three platforms (Xbox One, PS4, and PC) and will run for an undisclosed amount of time.
Battlefield V marks the series’ return to one of the most infamous wars in history for the first time in almost a decade. Players will be able to experience two maps, Rotterdam and Arctic Fjord, with both maps available in the classic Conquest game type. The new Grand Operations mode will also be playable on Arctic Fjord which expands the Battlefield multiplayer experience on a grand scale.
It takes players across multiple maps with various objectives, constructing a narrative as you play that are inspired by real historical events. We’ll be sure to get in on the Battlefield V beta and provide you with extensive coverage and impressions of the highly-anticipated shooter.
Battlefield V looks to up the stakes with new movement systems such as more mobility when prone (roll around, lay on your back like in Rainbow Six: Siege), the ability to jump through unbroken windows without stopping to shoot them, as well as a much more hardcore focus on combat with less ammo, refined spotting, and more.
Battlefield V releases on October 19th for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Those who pre-order the Deluxe Edition will gain access to the full game on October 16th, with an EA Access trial starting on October 11th.
