PlatinumGames co-founder Hideki Kamiya took to Twitter to assure Wii U owners that Bayonetta 2 and The Wonderful 101 are unlikely to appear on other consoles. Wii U owners have every reason to err on the side of caution given the recent announcement that Rayman Legends, another Wii U exclusive (or what would have been), will be heading to both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
Kamiya, looking to quell the concern, explained to fans, "We're a development company… Nintendo gives us money, we make Bayonetta 2 and Wonderful 101, and they sell it."
He noted, however, "If Nintendo says 'We're putting Bayonetta 2 on PS3 and 360' it'll come out on those platforms."
It's been a rough week for Nintendo and its Wii U console. Aside from losing Rayman Legends as an exclusive (and its delay until September), Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge was also announced as coming to the PS3 and Xbox 360 as well. Activision CEO Bobby Kotick, this week, also shared his company's disappointment with the Wii U's launch.
