BBC reveals the first official image from ‘Sherlock’ season 4

Batch is back at Baker Street!

BBC has finally released the first official promo image from the upcoming fourth season of 'Sherlock'.

If you've been itching for another run with the world's greatest consulting detective, then fear not, the wait is almost over! Following San Diego Comic Con's reveal of the trailer for season four of BBC's Sherlock, the network has finally revealed the first official promo image on their Facebook page. The pic doesn't show much, just Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Dr. John Watson (Martin Freeman) standing beside each other; Sherlock, confident and ready as ever, Watson…slightly annoyed as per usual:

The season three finale aired in 2014, with no new episodes since then, with the exception of the New Year's special which aired this year, 'The Abominable Bride'. The long break was primarily due to both Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman's overflowing schedules, especially with them both now committing to the Marvel Cinematic Universe; Freeman starring in 'Captain America: Civil War' and the upcoming 'Black Panther' as Everett Ross, and Cumberbatch committing to 'Doctor Strange'.

Sherlock: season 4 still has no official premiere date, but is scheduled to release sometime in 2017!
