‘Be a Hero’ on Xbox 360

Microsoft announced today the release of the Be A Hero Bundle, a collection of three full Xbox LIVE Arcade titles: Torchlight, South Park Let's Go Tower Defense Play and Fire Pro Wrestling.

While Runic Games' Torchlight is now a few years old, I highly recommend it for anyone interested in playing the sequel. Though available also on PC, the Xbox 360 version scored an impressive 8.5/10 with reviewer Mike Splechta calling it "a great appetizer for the much-anticipated sequel," which of course is already released (and selling quite well).

Unfortunately, I can't give the same glowing review for Fire Pro Wrestling which received just a 4.5/10 on GameZone. It was described as a "mediocre yet playable wrestling game that's hardly worth checking out." Ouch.

Lastly, South Park Let's Go Tower Defense Play was your run-of-the-mill action/strategy game, scoring an average of 72/100 on Metacritic. It seems the game received mixed reviews.

Given the mediocre reviews for two out of the three games in this bundle, I'm not so sure becoming a hero is worth the 1600 Microsoft Points ($20) that it's priced at. If it turns out you are interested, head on over to the Xbox LIVE Marketplace where it's currently available for purchase.
