I was a huge fan of the original Beat Hazard; a shmup that varied the intensity of enemies and firepower based on your MP3s. It was also nothing short of a visual orgasm.
Today, Steve Hunt over at Cold Beam Games has announced a sequel, Beat Hazard Ultra, along with a image teasing one of the new bosses. As he lists in the official announcement:
Due out in Q2 2011, Beat Hazard Ultra will take Beat Hazard to the next level.
Features include:
– Online Play
– More Bosses
– More Enemies
– More Power Ups
– More Game Modes
– And of course more music driven eye bleeding action
– Available on PSN, PC and iMac, Q2 2011
If you haven’t played the original Beat Hazard, you really owe it to yourself to download the demo and try it out.
