Ben Affleck dubs DC Comics Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns as a “f**king genius”

Seems the two are quite fond of each other... NOW KISS!

This week marked the release of the new "reboot" of the DC Comics universe with the debut of the Rebirth storyline, and to celebrate Ben Affleck recorded a video praising writer Geoff Johns.

"I would read anything by Geoff Johns. F***ing genius, I love him. I love DC, I’m really excited about where it’s going, and I couldn’t be more honored and thrilled to be on board and part of this DC universe."

The two have been working very closely recently on planning out the solo Batman film and may have even been handed the keys to the DC cinematic universe. The other night on Late Night With Seth Meyers, Geoff Johns went on to promote the release of Rebirth and praised Ben Affleck in the role of Batman and as a writer.

"He’s amazing, but he’s amazing at dialogue. When he reads the dialogue I just sit there going ‘Wow, I’m talking to Batman!"

Although Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice released to a lukewarm reception (that's putting it nicely), fans and critics alike could agree that Ben Affleck stole the show as The Caped Crusader and gave hope to many fans for his solo outing as The Dark Knight.

With San Diego Comic-Con just around the corner, we shouldn't have to wait too much longer to hear more details about the film. Affleck will reappear as Batman this August in Suicide Squad and next November in the superhero ensemble film, Justice League.
