The Iron Man 3 director, Shane Black, has been hard at work reimagining the Predator series, but it looks like his vision has one less actor attached to it. Benicio Del Toro, the man who will be playing a villainous role in Star Wars: Episode 8 has dropped out of the upcoming Predator film.
It appears as though the only people taking Del Toro's departure from the film hard are the people who love him. Apparently, Del Toro was just too hard to book with all of his other film commitments.
Fox has already moved on to another actor. Narcos actor, Boyd Holbrook, has been targeted to be the next potential lead for Predator. Most recently, Holbrook has been attached to the final Wolverine film, Logan, as a villain.
Fox knows that Holbrook isn't very well known, so the plan is to 'beef up' the supporting cast.
The studio is willing to make Predator a 'spectacle' by throwing a bunch of money at the project. It will begin filming this Fall (with its big budget) and will feature an upgraded Predator set in present time.
