Benicio del Toro’s character in Star Wars: The Last Jedi may have been leaked and it’s a familiar name

Once again, another rumor surrounding Benicio Del Toro's character in The Last Jedi has surfaced, but this one appears actually to have some legs. Officially, Del Toro's character's identity has been kept in the dark, being referred to only as "The Man in Black," which is about as vague as it gets. But YouTuber Mike Zeroh, who is a renowned Star Wars fanatic recently posted a new video with some legitimate evidence that Benicio del Toro will be playing a character named Sir Vicrum Fett, which in theory would (likely) make him the son of the legendary bounty hunter, Boba Fett.

The evidence comes from the website Wikiwand, which listed del Toro's screen credits and had his listing for The Last Jedi as playing said, Sir Vicrum Fett. The listing has since been changed to "TBA," but as Zeroh point out if you search "Sir Vicrum Fett" in Google, a trace of the listing will still appear and looks like this:

When del Toro's presence on Episode VIII was first revealed, he described his role as being "like the villain" as opposed to "the villain." Since the new trilogy's main antagonists are already established with Supreme Leader Snoke, Kylo Ren, and the First Order, adding a different flavor of antagonist would make sense, which is precisely what Boba Fett provided to the original trilogy.

It would also stand to reason that Disney is likely to continue mirroring at least some of the beats of the original trilogy, so adding a Fett would make sense. This is not to mention that a Fett has appeared in the second episode of both trilogies thus far, with the supposed Vicrum Fett's grandpappy, Jango in the prequel trilogy.

Obviously, this is still very much a rumor despite the evidence, so until something is confirmed, take it for what it is.
