Could this signal the first wave of incoming price cuts for Nintendo's Wii U? Best Buy, in an effort to attract consumers, has lowered the price of the Wii U Basic Bundle to $249.99, a $50 price cut from the normal $299 retail price. Early in its lifecycle, Nintendo has struggled to move Wii U units, leading many to speculate the company could soon introduce a permanent price cut. Just to note, the two-day sale only applies to the Basic Wii U bundle. The 32GB Deluxe set still remains priced at $349.99.
The Basic bundle includes an 8GB Wii U and the GamePad controller. If you plan on downloading a number of games or apps, you may want to use the $50 savings to invest in an external hard drive.
There's also a number of games on sale, including Far Cry 3 for just $29.99, Black Ops 2 for $39.99, and Assassin's Creed 3 for $39.99. Check out Best Buy's savings here.
