While I personally loathe the ideas of Speedruns, because I know I'll never be as good as they are. However, I absolutely love watching them. Seriously, these runs are perfectly crafted to minimize the amount of time it takes to complete a level or a section. Games like Dark Souls and Dark Souls 2 are especially fun to watch because these games are built to be tough. They're built to carefuly strategize your movement around the enemy. Yet these speedrunners defy these rules.
Case in point, Oginam absolutely wrecks Dark Souls 2 without any crazy glitches. To advance through the game, you normally have to beat the four main bosses and collect their souls in order to open a special shrine that allows you to advance to the later areas in the game. Oginam sidesteps this by collecting 1 million soul memory.]
He then goes on to beat the game in just over an hour, clocking at 1:04:33, which is absolutely insane! Make sure to check out the run below, and also keep watching for a glitched Dark Souls 2 run which speedrunner Noobest completes in about half the original time. It's slightly less impressive due to the glitches, but impressive that he was able to pull them off so perfectly.
