For the first time since Fallout 4's release last week, Bethesda has issued a statement on what has become the company's "largest game launch ever." In addition to thanking their fans and encouraging players to stick with game, despite its intimidation factor, Bethesda also addressed the subject of glitches.
Yes, Fallout 4 is riddled with them, one in particular a game-breaker. Unfortunately, glitches have come to be expected in Bethesda-developed games, but thankfully the ones in Fallout 4 have mostly resulted in hilarity. Just because they are funny though, doesn't mean Bethesda isn't working to fix them.
A "beta patch" for Fallout 4 is expected to hit Steam next week, follwed by the full release on PC. Following the PC patch release, the console versions of the game will then be updated.
"Expect to see more updates, that are smaller and more frequent, than a few big ones. This allows us to make sure each fix is working right, as any change can have unintentional side effects in a game this huge," Bethesda explained.
Fallout 4 was released last week and has received glowing reviews, despite the bugs and glitches.
