Bethesda releases three terrifying new images from The Evil Within

What better way to celebreate the arrival of Halloween than with the release of some new images from what is sure to be one of the scariest games of 2014? That's exactly what Bethesda was thinking as they released three new images today for The Evil Within, their upcoming survival horror game from Shinji Mikami (Resident Evil) and Tango Gameworks.

The first two images are a new concept piece and screenshot of the butcher, the frightening creature shown in the most recent gameplay video. The third is of Boxman; I don't know much about him but he is equally as terrifying. Is that a safe on his head?

I'm sure Bethesda will look to scare us more as we near Halloween, but for now these will haunt my dreams. The Evil Within due out for Xbox 360, PS3, PC, and next-gen consoles in 2014.
