Bethesda has revealed that award-winning musician Inon Zur is the composer of the Fallout 4 main theme song, with the highly anticipated title set for a November release.
Many gamers have been waiting a long time for Fallout to make its debut on next-gen console and who better to compose the theme than Zur. The guy has already proved his worth to the franchise in the past, writing and producing every Fallout series score since 2001.
A magic man, or a magic piano? Either way, the theme song is already catching on with many fans. For those that haven't already heard it, it can be found in the video below.
Commenting on the new soundtrack Zur said: “I have a very nice grand piano at home, and I recorded myself playing the main theme. Todd’s first reaction was mixed: He liked the idea of the piano, but he found the actual sound to be too bright, bordering on harsh.
"Todd and Mark wanted something warmer. So I created a combination between a real piano and an electric piano sound. A sound that is really round and not bright at all but very lush.
"When Zur played this for Todd and Mark, both of them immediately knew this was what they wanted. So following that lead on, there are multiple times that I use this. You also hear it first in the main theme. This is not a mistake or just a random choice. The piano will stay with us throughout the whole score.”
We also understand that alongside the main theme will be two additional tracks released for Fallout 4. If you would like to check them out, click here.
