It looks like Bethesda could be gearing up to reveal a high definition remake of Fallout 3 in the coming weeks. IGN Germany has reported that Bethesda worked with the Federal Department for Media Harmful to Minors in Germany to officially get the game removed from the list of banned games.
When asked for a statement as to why they worked to remove the ban, Bethesda replied: "We cannot give a statement at the moment, but will answer your questions in a couple of weeks."
While the developers refused to comment, the fact that Bethesda teased a reveal in the coming weeks suggests that they are definitely planning something. We will have to wait to see what Bethesda is planning, but for now we can settle with a statement from the Federal Department for Media Harmful to Minors as to why they decided to remove the ban.
"In the case of Fallout 3 the request for de-listing was granted even though only seven years passed since the game was banned," said the Federal Department for Media Harmful to Minors. "The Big Council decided at its meeting on February, 4th that Fallout 3 will be removed from the list because its content is no longer classified as harmful to minors from today's perspective."
